Crochet Sheep

My 2-year old likes sheep and I had some Red Heart Yarn that had just been sitting in my yarn stash for ever so I set out to find something to make for him with it.  I found this and thought I would give it a try.  The only thing I didn't really like about it was the "closed eyes" so I put little safety eyes on it so my 7 month old couldn't pull them off and choke on them.  I also wasn't too crazy about the fluffy yarn for the white color because I didn't want my 7 month old to get little fluff particles in her mouth when she decided she wanted to taste the sheep.  So I just used regular worsted weight yarn for the whole thing.  Considering this is my first amigurumi EVER, I think it looks FABULOUS!

Here it is!

My 2 year old loves it.  I asked him "what are you going to name him?"    his reply?  "GUMMUS!

So everyone... meet Gummus!  : )

HAPPY HOOKING!

    1. Helen, if you'll notice the sentence above where she states: " I found this and thought I would give it a try." The word "this" is highlighted. Click on the word highlighted word and it will take you to the pattern. You probably have already found this but wanted to post this just in case you haven't. This is so cute I want to make it for one of my new grandsons, too!
